Open daily (except for Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day), the Texas State Aquarium offers programs such as Deckside Dolphin Encounter and Trainer for a Day.
The kids will love "Island of Steel", the largest indoor exhibit that shows an underwater view of the habitat formed around an oil platform in the Gulf of Mexico.
The Flower Gardens exhibit replicates the only coral reef off the coast of Texas, 300 miles straight out in the Gulf of Mexico.
