This is one of the most popular and famous stretches of sand in all of the Seychelles. Its pink – yes, pink – beach is a real stunner. Made up of a series of small crescents separated by gigantic curved-granite boulders, the beach is sheltered by a reef and shadowed by palms, making it a perfectly calm place to snorkel away the afternoon, even for kids. Located on understated La Digue Island (itself accessible only by boat and famous for using ox carts as transportation), the beach is part of a national park and has limited facilities—but that just gives it more of a Garden of Eden feel. You can also rent horses to ride on the beach at nearby L'Union Estate.
