The Meewasin Valley Centre makes a good first stop in Saskatoon. Located in Friendship Park, on the banks of the South Saskatchewan River, it features interactive exhibits on Saskatoon's history. Pack a picnic and plan to hike after your visit. The Meewasin Valley Trail, which is linked to the center, follows the river though the heart of the city and through numerous parks with picnic areas and bathrooms. Ideal for cycling, jogging, and strolling, the trail extends 37 miles, 14 of them paved.
