• Hikes here will take you through pine flat woods, wet prairie, marsh lake, and scrub environments, which collectively provide you with the chance to spot American Alligators, Cranes, Gopher Tortoises, Great Blue Herons, Hawks, and Sandhill Ospreys, amongst other wildlife.
• Camping here ranges from the primitive to full hookup sites.
• Much of the best sightseeing and fishing, are best-accessed by water. To this end, the Savannahs Recreation Area offers its own boatramp, as well as canoe rentals.
