Downtown gay nightclubs may come and go, but Parliament House just keeps going strong as it consistently brings in a mix of locals and tourists. Just name it, and you'll find it in this sprawling queer complex: 130 hotel rooms, a swimming pool with bar, a full-service restaurant serving basic American fare, a disco, video bar, country-western bar, and the Footlights Theater, which hosts drag revues. Very much in the motel vein, the hotel is cruisy and worn. You stay at P-House, as it's often called, for easy access to a non-stop gay party not for the rooms. There's always something going on, but during the first weekend of June's Gay Days, the place turns into a major destination for those who want queer entertainment without shelling out $100 a pop for a circuit party ticket.
