A pleasant, half-hour drive from downtown Portland takes you past farm honor stands and down dusty backroads to reach the beach. The gay part of the beach is the section furthest from the entrance, and on sunny days it is awash with flawless, hot 20-somethings and their admirers. On weekends, peer closer at those boats bobbing in the waters offshore. You'll probably spy more than a few gay sailors and boaters looking back.
