For the best views of the fjord and Kenai Mountains, sit on the right side of the motor coach during the drive down Turnagain Arm. If you're keen on Dall sheep, claim the left side of the coach and watch the cliffs above the road.
Be sure to ride the tram at Alyeska Resort on the trip back to town.
The gift shop in the Begich Boggs Visitor Center has one of the best selections of Alaskan natural history literature you'll find.
