Here you will find thousands of rock carvings including lizards, birds, and deer, from C.E. 1,000-1,600 and perhaps earlier, on a sprawling lava escarpment on Albuquerque's west side. Stop in at the visitor center before heading out on the park's four self-guiding trails.
Watch out for rattlesnakes!
