You feel like you are part of a true NYC scene, and you are. A line stretches out the door when the nearby gay and straight clubs close (uber-gay Splash! is right around the corner), but head here in the afternoon for emptier tables, the odd celebrity sighting, and post-modern comfort foods (gourmet macaroni and cheese). The downstairs lounge is a model hangout; upstairs, you're more likely to spot the velvet mafia. The interior is bathed in white, the music is loud, and the beautiful people dine and gossip while scoping out their fellow diners without looking like they are.
