Parents may not consider a temple to conspicuous consumption an "attraction," per se, but FAO Schwarz is a stop worth making, if only to rediscover some of the toy-tastic tokens of your own childhood. Be warned, though, that once you're done with nostalgic recollections of your own dalliances with Lego bricks, Star Wars paraphernalia, and miniature farm animals, it'll be time to bust out the credit card and treat the next generation to their hard-earned toy fix. Without doubt, it's loud, multicolored, and as A.D.D. as a suicidal mosquito, but give over to the madness and let your real—and inner—child run wild.
