If you're in your early 20s, you'll feel right at home in Wrigleyville or Lincoln Park. Wrigleyville has great nightlife (lots of sports bars, of course, given its proximity to the ballpark), a cool restaurant scene, as well as improv and indie theaters. If you want to head downtown or explore another neighborhood, you can easily hop on the eL (short for "elevated train"), which runs 24/7. Hotel options are not as plentiful as downtown, but rates are usually cheaper. Here's a link to Chicago hotels by neighborhood on Orbitz.com, an Away.com partner site: http://www.orbitz.com/App/PerformDatelessHotelSearch?keywordPIB=Chicago
