Where are the public beach access points closest to Washington, NC? Also, where can we go to see the wild horses?

The closest beaches to Washington are Atlantic Beach, Hatteras Island, and Nags Head. The wild horses can be viewed north of Nags Head in Corolla on the Currituck Outer Banks.
