When is the best time to go to las Vegas? Would like to know when the least expensive time of the year would be to go to Las Vegas, also warm enough to enjoy the outside pools?

My wife and I like to go in early January. we are from northern utah and the 60 degree weather there at that time is a great welcome change to the sub freezing temps at home. it can be very inexpensive. we have also found that you can get free rooms just about any time of year by simply contacting the timeshares in the area and they will give you two or three nights at a strip hotel just for attending an hour presentation of their facilities. if you are going to fly, search for package deals at vegas.com or one of the travel sites such as orbitz or priceline. good luck hope to see you there

Vegas doesn't really have an off-season, though avoid major holidays, spring break, and big events like college basketball's Final Four or the annual National Finals Rodeo in mid-December to have a better shot at air and hotel deals. Happily for you, if you really want to swim outdoors, the height of summer is typically one of the quieter periods in Sin City because of the blistering summer heat. It's a dry heat, though, and you'll be in the pool anyway -- if that helps! So maybe look for deals then. If you're wanting to go sooner, try late November/early December when things quieten down (relatively speaking) before the big holiday season rush. Of course, it might be a little chilly to swim then, but loads of hotels have indoor pools, spas, and health clubs to keep you active and in shape.
