Regarding children ages 3-6years Williamsburg has many attractions. Busch Gardens opened Elmo's Forest last year and is great for the little ones as is Dragon Land. The Jamestown settlement has a replicated Indian village, colonial fort and the three ships the colonist sailed from Europe to the new world. Water Country is a great idea for the warmer months many wading pools and attractions for the kids. Also just down the road in Newport News the Virginia Living Museum is wonderful for small ones.
