You don't have to look far to find winter activities in the Calgary area, Laura. For starters, check out the Calgary Outdoor Centre (http://www.calgaryoutdoorcentre.ca/) for info on winter activities including guided snowshoe hikes, cross-country skiing lessons, ice climbing, and more. The city's Canada Olympic Park offers snowboarding and skiing (including Canada's only superpipe within city limits!), plus other activities including ice skating, cross-country skiing, and bobsleigh rides.
