We would like to go to NYC for New Year's Eve 2010/2011. Interested in where to stay that...
We would like to go to NYC for New Year's Eve 2010/2011. Interested in where to stay that is the most reasonable. And possibly within walking distance of Times Square. Or is it better to stay out of the city? And the best way to get around.

We were there for 2000/2001. Stayed over around the Meadowlands, NJ and took the ferry over. walked to Times Square. After the celebration, walked with thousands of others down to the bus depot and on to the ferry. Not a bad way to clear out of the city which was just shoulder to shoulder. It is a once-in-a lifetime event. Enjoy it!
