We will be travelling with our rental car from Germany to Switzerland and into Italy,...

We will be travelling with our rental car from Germany to Switzerland and into Italy, visiting Tuscany and want to spend two nights in Rome. We would prefer avoiding driving into Rome. is there a 'safe' Park and Ride station outside of Rome up to maybe 50 Km away?
