Stafford is surrounded by some very beautiful countryside. Some of the places you might want to visit are Prince William Forest Park and the Chopawamsic Backcountry Area. Stafford is also the home of George Washington's boyhood where the site of Ferry Farm can be visited. While you are in Stafford, you can take a driving historical tour of the African American and Civil War points of interest.

I hope these suggestions help you in your travel planning. Have a wonderful trip!

National Museum of the Marine Corps.
Lots of outdoor activities on the nearby Potomac and Rappahannock Rivers.
Stafford Farmers' Market
