Hi, If your have young children el cid is the place to spend the day.It has a huge swimming pool If you are not traveling with children I would suggest spending the day at the inn at mazatlan, its smaller but nicer, more personable, much better food, much quieter and more laid back, my favorite place in mazatlan, Its also on the golden zone just 2 doors down from el cid , dont go on the guided tour to the island where they offer horse back riding, sounds good but its not, Me and my daughter spend a week at x- mas time there every year insted of buying a bunch of garbage, and i cant waite, Have a great time, Curtis
