We have about a 5 hours to kill after flying into Boston before we catch a train to Portland. We arrive around 10 a.m. What 'quick' sightseeing opportunities are there for the afternoon.

Below is a link that will give you a bunch of great ideas for some sightseeing around Boston, including the Sam Adams Brewery where you can enjoy FREE beer, a brief tour of the Statehouse, the MIT Museum and much more! Have fun!

You are close to the USS Constitution located in the Charlestown Navy Yard. You can tour "Old Ironsides" by foot or on a 40 minute tour by boat. You can also take a 90 minute historical cruise of Boston Harbor. You could grab a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants located in Faneuil Hall Marketplace. You might need to stretch your legs after all that traveling. Boston by Foot offers walking tours that last an hour and a half.

I hope this helps keep you entertained while getting a taste of Boston. Have a great trip!
