We are traveling to New York City this summer for a week. We are driving and wondering the best advice for parking our car all week without breaking the bank. We won't be using it while there, or don't plan to at this point. Any advice?

Surprising fact is that most of the Hotels have parking available. Yes, you may pay a fee, But your car will be safe and within reach. Check with your hotel first. You will need to leave your car somewhere, might as well be where you are staying.

Your best bet would be to store your car in a parking garage. New York City Department of Transportation, DOT, offers garages and lots all over the city. Not all garages offer extended stays, but many do. You can choose the location that is most convenient for you and browse their permit restrictions at the following site: http://bit.ly/d6wWUN
