We are thinking of taking a family vacation to New York City, but due to schedules, our only travel option is in the month of August. We've never been to NYC and would like to experience as much as possible while there but we hear the weather is horrible then. Not sure what to do......

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend that time of the year. During that month it is pretty humid and even if the temps may not be too high, the humidity adds to it. I go to NYC every summer and I dread the August month.

The weather really isn't that bad in August. The temperature ranges from 69-83. So I think it would be beautiful and you can never really depend on weather anyways.
