The Beartooth Pass, beginning at Red Lodge and travel up the Beartooth Scenic Route. If you have time in red Lodge give me a hollar and we can go have a beer, lunch or something.

My vote for most scenic route goes to the one that takes you through Rapid City and the Black Hills region of South Dakota. It's also happens to be the most direct! The Black Hills are like a miniature version of Yellowstone, with loads of good hikes, wildlife including bison and mountain goats, swimming holes, lakes, mountain-bike trails, etc. You've also got Mount Rushmore and Badlands National Park. The outdoorsy town of Spearfish is worth a stop, with some excellent single- and doubletrack on the Tinton Trail, plus sweet sunset views of Crow Peak from the deck of the town's Crow Peak Brewing Co. (For more outdoor picks from some Black Hills natives, pick up a copy of the January 2011 issue of Backpacker magazine, which just happens to include an article I wrote on the region!) Hope this helps. Have a great trip!
