We are planning on christmas in San Francisco. We are a family of myself, two sons aged 22 and 20 and daughter 16. We plan to stay in a hostel so it will be more fun for them. Any ideas of activities that time of year?

That sounds fun. Have you heard about the Point Montara Lighthouse Hostel, which is 25 miles south of San Fran? (There's also another lighthouse hostel 50 miles north.) Might be a fun way to do it. Lots of different festive events going on that time of year; might want to check with the visitor's bureau for most up-to-date listings.
