We are looking for a family getaway in the Caribbean that would offer kitesurfing for our 32 yr. old son and a great resort or villa for the rest of us that would offer good water sports, maybe golf, and baby friendly as we have a 6 month old grandson. any suggestions?

Barbados south coast is great for kite surfing. The Silver Sands hotel is walking distance down the beach. Or my favourite is Margarita Island Venezuela. There is El Yaque Beach where there are many small hotels that cater to wind and kite surfing. The best place for kiting is taking a 20 minute boat ride to Coche island. A dream spot for kiters.

Cabarete in the Dominican Republic might be worth a look. Take a look at Agualina Kite Resort, which caters specifically to kiteboarders, plus offers a laid-back family spread right on the beach. A bit along the coast in Puerto Plata, you might also look at the Viva Wyndham Playa Dorada Resort, an all-inclusive with a greater mix of amenities but still close to DR's excellent north coast wind- and kite-surfing hubs.
