Traveling with family to Paris in late spring, would like to know those areas that we should avoid due to safety or inappropriate for kids 10 and older. Thank you.

Hi Abby, I pinged one of Away.com's regular contributors, Steve Jermanok, for some feedback on your question and he had the following to say: "The only time I felt slightly unsafe was walking along the Seine at night after seeing the Eiffel Tower light up. Otherwise, we felt safe in the Marais, the 6th, the 8th, even the Tuileries." I'd echo his comments about walking down along the Seine, though in daylight it's really quite safe. Obviously, some of the outer arrondisements are quite rough, but there's really no reason for a tourist to be visiting these neighborhoods. Same advice holds true for any big city like London, New York, Rome, etc.
