Traveling to New York for christmas with my family. I have a 14 month old that will need a car seat, or some type of safe transportation. What is recommended for getting around the city? Also from the airport to the hotel, how do you transport your children safely? Thanks

Have you got a Baby Bjorn, or some such child carrier? I've always found this the best piece of gear for lugging small kids around airports, leaving your hands free for dealing with luggage, security, etc. Plus this soft piece of gear packs down to a manageable size when you don't need it. Depending on where you're flying into, I'd say the train is the safest bet with young kids, though am sure you could check with cab companies ahead of time to see who provides child seats. Once you arrive in Manhattan, my preference would be the subway (with Baby Bjorn) or walking (with stroller!).
