You're going to have to get to Flagstaff, from which point you can travel to Vegas by bus or train. The Grand Canyon Railway (http://www.thetrain.com) operates between the park and Williams, AZ, 33 miles west of Flagstaff, from where you can hop an Amtrak train en route to Vegas and points west. While in the park, you can get around on free shuttle buses. Bryce is a little harder to reach on public transport as there's actually no service to anywhere in the park. However, you can ride the Greyhound busline between Vegas and Salt Lake City, UT, which stops at St. George, off I-15 and the best gateway for Zion and Bryce Canyon. You might want to hook up with an outfitter in St. George for help getting into the more remote stretches of Bryce. Or just rent a car for a few days, depending on budget and preference. The World Outdoors, an adventure outfitter, offers several multisport itineraries that start out of St. George and take in the big three of Zion, Bryce, and the Grand Canyon. More information is available on Away.com partner site GORPtravel at: http://gorptravel.away.com/xnet/picks.tcl?destination=8844. Might be an option.
