Looking for someplace inexpensive, tropical, and friendly. I can kind of understand Spanish, but a mainly English speaking place would be nice. He's into history and I'm into snorkeling or horseback riding, or exploring jungles.

I have 2 1/2 days in Paris and want to go to Omaha Beach and the surrounding areas of DDay Invasion in Normandy. I have a train pass(Eurail) so the journey to the closest city would be by train. Anyone made the trip recently? Can you recommend a local tour guide? I walk with a cane. Caveats?
