Looking for an inexpensive honeymoon somewhere tropical?

Looking for someplace inexpensive, tropical, and friendly. I can kind of understand Spanish, but a mainly English speaking place would be nice. He's into history and I'm into snorkeling or horseback riding, or exploring jungles.

What is a good beach destination on the east coast for 20-somethings?

I am looking for ideas for a beach vacation this summer with a group of about 5 or 6. We would like to go somewhere with decent beaches, some nightlife, and at least a couple restaurants.
