If you both are still in Panama you should try Pedasi Town, is only 4 1/2 driving from Panama City or you can still take a flight that only cost $106 round trip. I recomend you to go to this special town.
Once you are there ask for Hameth, and I will show you around, and also will take you to meet the most succesfull and beautiful project in Pedasi-PANAMA named Andromeda. You need to see it for yourself.

Just came back from La Laja. Stayed at a brand new B&B Finca Buena Vista. email uwe.nebel1@freenet.de.Tel. Panama 68148693.
Walking distance to the village and grocery store. Higher up, so not damp at night.
Its about 15 Min to the beach, the longest in Panama and ecxept on weekends
completely empty.
Had a great time there.
