Where to stay (and park) in NJ convenient to Columbia U?

We'll be attending Columbia University graduation on Manhattan, but want to stay in NJ to cut costs and have parking. Where is the best area to look for a hotel and public transportation to Columbia U? We don't know the area at all.

Where is the 'new' Desktop Calendar??

Every link for desktop calendar that I can find results in a picture and a blurb about the place but no 'download' button and when i try to 'set as desktop' all it is is a small picture, no calendar. Even the archives link doesn't provide a way to download a calendar. Pictures are all fine and good, but the calendar is great too.
