Our family is going to Yellowstone in July 2010. I have 3 young childrenn ages 3,5,and 7. I wanted to know is there a place where we can do pony rides in the park or in a corraled area? My kids have only ridden ponies at the fair. I have seen most places allow kids ages 6 and up. I am also open for mule or alpaca rides for young kids if you know of a place. Thankyou.

Unfortunately for the children, most businesses ask that children be of a certain age for safety and liability reasons. Yellowstone offers horseback riding and llama packing trips operated by licensed stock outfitters, but they are distance trips and not suitable for young children. The following site might be able to help you find alternative activities for the family: http://bit.ly/axd4Tp
