My sister and I, 31 and 26 respectively, are planning a ski vacation.

We want good skiing, nice resort, amazing party town, and lots of 20/30's guys. Where do people suggest to go?

My top three would be 1) Vail, CO; 2) Mammoth Mountain, CA; 3) Whistler Blackcomb, BC. First of all, you have to go West. As an east coaster, I can say the skiing out West is a whole different ballgame. Second, avoid Utah. It's gotten better in recent years and Park City is a crazy party town, but overall the skiing is more of a focus than the nightlife. Most of the Colorado resorts are clustered together so you can take your pick. Breckenridge, CO, is a great party town, but I like the overall vibe at Vail better. If you can afford Aspen, it's worth it, but be prepared to pay out the nose.

Colorado is a great pick. Out of the most popular Colorado resorts, Keystone and Winter Park are pretty family orientated. Breck is a real party town. Copper can hold its own and perhaps has better terrain than Breck (arguable). Those are the closest to Denver. Farther afield, Vail has it all; Beaver Creek is more focused on luxury; Steamboat is a great little town but I find it a little sleepy, personally. Aspen is everything you can imagine but with the price tag to match. Telluride is really really fun but hard to get to. I'd go Breck or Vail if I were you. Breck if the bars are most important; Vail if the skiing/riding is most important, but both have great nightlife and terrain.

Here are Away.com's selections for the top 10 ski resorts for nightlife: http://away.com/skiing/ski_best_for.tcl?Top_Ski_Resorts_for_Nightlife&id=293367

For additional research purposes (ahem!), here are some selections for ski resorts with top-notch local breweries: http://away.com/features/top-ten-ski-town-breweries-1.html. Naturally, where there's good beer, there's usually a party brewing! Cheers, and have a great trip!
