My plans are to attend the balloon fiesta Oct. 3 thru 6 and will be staying at Kirkland AFB. I'll be traveling with my 87 year old limited mobility mother and would like to know if there are places at or near the site to accommodate the handicapped, or possibly an alternate means of transportation. (wheelchair but can do some walking)

Bill, I think you and your mother should be fine. The Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta website (http://www.balloonfiesta.com/content/frequently-asked-questions) lists this information regarding accessibility: "We have handicap parking on a hard surface close to entrance gates available for the regular parking fee every time you park as well as scooters and wheelchairs available to rent. There are also shuttles that run the length of the Park."
