My husband and I are planning our 40th Anniversary get away to Chicago November 13 - 14. We will be arriving by train and would like ideas of sites and activities. We both enjoy walking (being outdoors) and are non drinkers.

Given that you like walking, I think you'll love just strolling through Chicago's magnificent thicket of skyscrapers. You could also try signing up for an architectural walking tour of the city, offered through the Chicago Architecture Foundation (http://www.architecture.org). Enjoy strolling Grant Park and the grounds around the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in the Millennium Park. While there, you should also check out The Art Institute -- great museum (and if you can get there a day early, Thursdays evenings are free admission). Lastly, the new Sky Ledge in the Sears Tower is getting rave reviews (but not if you're afraid of heights!).
