My husband and I are planning a trip to Yellowstone the first week in September 2010. We have about five days. We must fly into Salt Lake City thought (SWA free tickets). Not sure to enter the parks south or West side and not sure where to stay. Is it suggested we stay in the park or just outside the park? Has anyone a preference and if so, where did you stay? We won't have camping gear and we aren't much into roughing it. We plan to rent a car. Help! any advice? Debbie

It will likely be quicker to enter the part at West Yellowstone. But think of it this way, no matter where you enter, you will get to take in the park's sights and sounds as you drive to your hotel. Speaking of hotels, you should stay in the park, specifically at the Old Faithful Inn. This place is an icon. get more info here: http://bit.ly/9SVZzx
