My husband and I are looking at spending a long weekend in NYC for our anniversary in November. The best time for us would be that first weekend, but I believe that is when the marathon is. We would be leaving that Sunday - is it going to be a big hassle to get to the airport that morning?

You can expect a large influx of visitors for the week of the marathon. Last year New York City had 35,000 athletes, 12,000 volunteers and 2 million spectators participating in the race. Expect some travel congestion, and allow yourself plenty of time make your flight. Happy anniversary!
