My friend and I travel each year to Madison,Connecticut and enjoy the quaint town and...

My friend and I travel each year to Madison,Connecticut and enjoy the quaint town and it's surrounding area-we go antiquing, eat at local yet delicious pubs and small but wonderful finds and indulge at a nearby spa. We're venturing there next weekend, and would like to know if we're missing any other great finds like apple picking orchards, back road produce stands or any special find/event that we can't do in NYC. Thank so much.

The Book Barn in Niantic is one of the best and biggest used book stores in the country.

One place you may enjoy is Bishop's Orchards, which is only about five miles away from Madison. Here you can check out the market/bakery, pick your own fruit or check out the farm winery.
