My family is taking a day trip to the Jacksonville area. We would like to avoid the crowds at the main public beach area of Jacksonville. Just wondering if there are any other public beaches you would recommend.

If you've got a car, make a beeline north of Jacksonville for the lovely (and quieter) beachfront at Little Talbot Island and Big Talbot Island state parks (nice camping at Little Talbot Island, too).
