My family is planning a Yellow Stone National Park trip in June 2011. We will be driving from Orange County of CA. Any suggestions or tips where to stop and stay?

Vegas, if that's your style. If not, you can visit one of the best, most unsung, most stunning national parks in the entire U.S.: Zion National Park in southern Utah. It's about halfway from SoCal to Yellowstone, and is well worth a stop. Bring a camera. Closer to Yellowstone, don't miss Grand Teton NP, just south, where you'll find all views with half the crowds. Safe travels.
