There are tons of activities for kids as young as 10 (or younger) in NYC! There's the Natural History Museum, Broadway shows, and ice-skating in Central Park. You can also take your kids to FAO Schwartz, Toys R Us, and the M&M and Hershey's stores in Times Square. In terms of food, there are a lot of restaurants that are very kid-friendly, including S'Mac (East Village) which specializes in Mac & Cheese!
