Hi Walter,
I'd say your best bet to please everyone is going to be looking at a cruise. You can find some great deals for cruises throughout the Caribbean and even out of the northeast heading into Bermuda depending on your location. Hawaii is an option if you are on the west coast, but those trips are usually 10+ days. I say a cruise because there are activities for people of all ages and you can hang out as a family or go your separate ways for a while then come back together for dinner or something. The food I have found on cruise lines like Celebrity is actually fantastic and that takes the stress off of having to figure out what to eat. The drinks are okay, the shows & entertainment are decent, the casino is usually fun, and the destinations you can do as much or as little as you want too. In my opinion a cruise is probably going to be your best bet and I think they are a lot of fun. Certainly do some research on the culture of a cruise line and even specific ships if you decide to go this route. Some cruise lines, like Carnival & of course Disney skew towards a family with younger children. Celebrity tends to be middle age with fewer children, etc. And you can also find ships that have a lot less guest on board if you prefer something a little less like a floating city. Good luck!
