I wouldn't necessarily say that West Virginia has a 'region' but one of the best wineries in the country is in Summersville, WV and they offer tours and tasting. It is Kirkwood Winery. They have a website also. I'm originally from southern WV and lived less than a mile from the winery when my husband and I lived in Summersville. It's absolutely wonderful. They have a grape stomp every summer that is a blast-whether you're stomping or not. It's small town, but really, really wonderful!
