Irish Hills. There are a lot of different attractions. My family enjoyed the Old West Town the best. They have a "shoot out" on main street with actors that fall off the roofs of the buildings. There was a "stagecoach" ride in which we were robbed part way through the trip through the woods....multiple stops along the way where different aspects of the robbery were played out. You can even stay on sight and sleep in the "bunkhouse".

The Mackinac Island Carriage tours or the Fort Wilkins and Copper County Lighthouse offer a glimpse of life in the 1800's. Perhaps the Ottawa or Hiawatha National Park could be interesting family destinations.
