I'm looking for not-expensive family winter resort (skiing is optional) near Ottawa (up to 3 hours away). Would you suggest anything? Thank you

That's easy. Hit Mont-Tremblant, a great resort just north of Montreal and about 2.5 hours from Ottawa.
