I noticed that most of the NPS campgrounds are first come, first served. What is the best day of the week (in the summer) to secure a campsite? I'm thinking Sunday, but, what does experience say?

Midweek is usually better to find a spot the weekends are busier, or if you do go on Sunday, go onSunday night.
