I have just booked a vacation for our family of four to St Louis. Now I am a nervous wreck. My son says its not safe and we will be in danger. I think he is being ridiculous and would love to hear from someone who has been there to help put my mind at ease. We haven't been able to take a vacation for ten years and any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

We are there now and it is just fine. We haven't had any troubles. We have been everywhere, arch, baseball game, river, dowtown, museums, butterfly house, grants farm. Not a problem at all.

Honestly, my husband and I went to st louis to see the arch, go to the zoo, cards ball game, and riverboat cruise. we had a wonderful time, the only time it's a little scary is at night but i feel that way about any new place. we went last summer to six flags with the kids and we all had such a great time we are going back in july. there are parts of st louis they say not to go near, but everything like the zoo, arch, and most attractions are all in a safe area. so i don't see what there is to worry about.

I don't think you have any reason to be fearful of St. Louis. Just use common sense as you would any where else. Any one else been there recently?
