I have lived insouth Florida for 26 years. You should definately come down here to the land of eternal sunshine! Ft. Lauderdale, Ft. Myers, Naples, Miami, we are waiting for you.....

Drive down here on I-95. Then head east on Sunrise Blvd to the beach. Real simple.

Key West is really fun. Also the Gulf of Mexico has some pretty cool places.

If you want to go to the beach to relax, pick one that isn't highly publicized as tourist destinations. If you like camping, Twin Harbors State Park in Washington state is a great place is a great place with beach side campsites available.
There are any number of beaches located along the coast of Washington state. One of my favorites is Pacific beach.

I'd say head west to California, or south to Mexico. There are a ton of good deals going right now, so check out flights to the L.A. area, San Diego, or maybe even somewhere like Puerto Vallarta or Mazatlan. Hope you find what you're looking for!
