I am thinking about traveling to Reykjavik in August 2010. In March of 2006, I was convicted of a DUI. I acquired a passport in 2008 and have visited Caribbean countries and Mexico in the past year. Will this DUI stop me from visiting Iceland?

If you are just traveling to Iceland on a tourist waiver, you'll be just fine, as European immigration agents don't have access to state driving records, misdemeanor criminal records, etc. Might be a different story if you were looking to emigrant, or indeed rent a car on that license. Have a good trip!
